EXPERIENCE

Research and Program Development Targeting Social Minded Businesses in Africa

Supported a sister organization Partners in Development (PID) to undertake research activities and field trips to three countries in East and West Africa to explore the potential for incubating and supporting socially/environmentally conscious entrepreneurs in Africa.

Training and Program Development on Investment Readiness for Socially Minded Businesses

Using a grant from the British Council/EU through collaboration with a local private sector firm, designed a capacity building program to provide investment readiness training and coaching for 15 socially minded firms in Ethiopia.

Facilitating Access to Finance for Socially and Environmentally Conscious Business

Currently supporting the activities of a sister organization (PID) in development and expansion of a program that identifies and profiles innovative socially/environmentally conscious entrepreneurs in Ethiopia as well as other African countries. At the same time, the program is exploring access to finance for these firms through grants and social impact funds.
